Shoigy gave this statement after two-day meeting of the mixed committee for economic cooperation in Moscow where Serbia was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.
At the end of the meeting the sides also signed a protocol that stipulates dates for realization of the energy deal – construction of the ‘Southern Stream’ gas pipeline running through Serbia and modernization of the underground gas storage facilities at Banatski Dvor.
Dacic says that the protocol signed in Moscow does not mean sale of the ‘NIS’ and conclusion of the energy deal. He announces soon coming of the ‘Gazprom’ to Belgrade and the possibility for the complete job to be finished until December 20.
‘The crucial issue for us was whether Moscow continues viewing the deal as a package. That was the essence of all talks we had here’, Dacic says.
‘We have not discussed the sale of ‘NIS’ or the manner in which that shall be done. We wanted the confirmation that the Russian side has not changed the stance regarding realization of all three parts of the energy deal’, Dacic adds.
‘The Russian side once again confirmed such stance in the signed protocol. We also defined the deadlines. Joint venture for construction of the gas pipeline shall be founded soon’, Dacic says.
Until so far the Russian side has shown the good will only in definition of the elements of the social program for the ‘NIS’ employees which was said to be ‘very good’ by the trade union of our petrol industry.
