“Iron Maiden“ at the Belgrade Arena

“Iron Maiden”, one of the most popular British heavy-metal bands, will perform in Belgrade on February 10th 2009 at the Belgrade Arena, so next year the renowned band will continue their successful tour “Somewhere Back In Time” that they have started this year.
On this tour, the band performs song only from the album “Seventh Son of the Seventh Son”, so during their concert only scenography is changed, based on the albums “Powerslave” and “Somewhere In Time”, while the band mascot Eddie appears on the stage in two versions, first as a mummy and then in a futuristic version from the second album. The band has recently played in our region, but since Belgrade was not on the list, numerous fans went abroad to see their show. It is well-known that “Iron Maiden” has numerous fans in Serbia, which was proved by their last concert in Belgrade in March 2007. Their concert provoked such euphoria that about one hundred fans waited for the band members at the airport “Nikola Tesla”. The plane piloted by Bruce Dickinson, the singer of the band, who appeared in a pilot uniform at the airport and was awarded with ovations.
About 20,000 fans were at the concert in Hall 1 at the Belgrade Fair and at the end of the spectacle, Dickinson promised to come again very soon-to play at the stadium. The Belgrade Arena is not such a bad alternative.
